'Make sure you have analytics set up'
A basic step but really important. Going live without proper tracking tools in place means you'll miss out on understanding what is and isn't working on your site.
'Proper' doesn't mean the standard analytics features that come with your CMS system. WordPress, Wix and Squarespace are great for lots of things but they don't allow you to understand your audience on a granular level.
